NanoFAILmo . . .

I can already sense that Nano for me is going to be a failure.  Last week was disastrous - mainly because I had my first car accident on Monday and haven't really written since.  The shock of it seemed to sap all my creativity.  My happy place for most of last week was wrapped under a blanket whilst wallowing in front of the TV.  Physically I wasn't hurt but I just felt really...you know...meh.  Wasn't a good week.

I knew then Nano wasn't gonna happen.

Still, I'm going to finish the piece I'm writing.  I love the whole idea of it.  It's called 'Tunnel' and is a Zombie flick about a group of people trapped on the London Underground.  It's one for Amazon :)

So for all those out there writing their little hearts out, keep going.  You have a week.  Go boost that word count!!

  1. Well I'm glad you survived the accident. Car accidents are the worse!! Your WIP sounds amazing and I'm a huge zombie lover so I'm excited you are going to finish it regardless.

    1. Thanks Dani. Let's just say I wouldn't recommend having a car accident to anyone - especially if you're trying to do Nano lol. But yeah, Tunnel will be written. I'll keep you informed with progress :)

    1. Thanks Julie. To abandon Tunnel now would be such a waste. It deserves to be finished :)

  3. I didn't even start NaNo this year, but you started. You're a winner to me. Wishing you well and that the accident won't get you down. :)

  4. There's a pilot's motto that hubby taught me. Any accident you can walk away from is a good landing. Glad to know you're all right.

As for NaNo, I think the same applies. Anyone who can put words down is already a winner in my eyes.

  5. Well, I've heard of some excuses...: ) Seriously though I hope you recover soon. And it is always wise to follow what your body tells you (Except when it comes to alcohol and tobaccco perhaps : )

  6. I guess it's not completely a failure. You wrote SOMETHING, so it's a step in the right direction ;-)

  7. Ouch, sorry to hear about your accident. Even if you weren't hurt, it's a shock to the system. And you started something good that you want to finish, so it's not a loss! Zombies on the Underground? People always seem like zombies down there anyway, so I can definitely see it!

It was exactly this after a trip to London that inspired me...lol. Congratulations on your 50K :)

  8. I'm sorry to hear about your accident. No wonder you feel, meh :(

And I wouldn't worry about Nano. The story will still be in your head and your heart way after everyone else has hastily written 'The End.'

    Take care of yourself.
